Abstract
The digital divide, characterized by disparities in access, adoption, and utilization of information and communication technologies (ICTs), remains a critical global challenge. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the digital divide, examining its historical context, evolving dimensions, and socio-economic implications. The analysis encompasses various factors contributing to the divide, including infrastructure, affordability, digital literacy, and socio-cultural aspects. Additionally, the paper explores the impact of the digital divide on education, healthcare, employment, and civic participation. Emerging technologies and innovative strategies for bridging the digital gap are also discussed.
